He has used Delphi since its first release, and has long had an interest in developing for PDAs. Paul brings over 16 years' experience in the IT industry, specialising in Java and UML , object-oriented analysis and design, and J2EE. He is an accomplished speaker and has presented many papers on his specialist areas at conferences, seminars and training courses throughout the UK and Europe.
In addition to software development project consulting, Paul has been involved in the specification and provision of analysis methods, software development methods and systems support.

Brian Long used to work at Borland UK, performing a number of duties including Technical Support on all the programming tools. Since leaving in 1995, Brian has been providing training and consultancy services to the Delphi and C++Builder communities, and more recently to the .NET and C# communities.
Brian now consults for Falafel Software (www.falafelsoft.com), acting as a European representative.
Besides authoring a Borland Pascal problem-solving book published in 1994, Brian is a regular columnist in The Delphi Magazine and has had numerous articles published in Developer's Review, Computing, Delphi Developer's Journal and EXE Magazine. He was nominated for the Spirit of Delphi 2000 award. He has many online articles available to read at www.blong.com.

Sein besonderes Interesse gilt dem Entwurf stabiler und verständlicher Softwarearchitekturen, hauptsächlich im Bereich technischer Software. Seine bevorzugte Entwicklungsumgebung ist seit vielen Jahren Delphi, in der letzten Zeit kam C# hinzu.
